KYLER: How Many Angels?Brian Joseph: This is a great album exploring, but not limited to, becoming a new parent. I co-wrote the title track “If I Never Sleep Again.” This is a must have for all parents, even the veterans!

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna Laugh If you like Neil Finn and rock solid writing and singing you’ll love this new record by Sam Hawksley. Reminds me a lot of Richard Julian. If you don’t know who that is, you really should!

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna LaughKat Parsons: This woman is tearing up the LA music scene. Powerful voice, excellent songs and artful production. The whole family gets into the act.

KYLER: How Many Angels?Julia Darling: She’s been rocking Manhattan’s Lower East Side since I’ve been around. This New Zealand export writes rocksolid pop/rock songs and her fab delivery got her signed to the famous Living Room’s Indie label. )

KYLER: How Many Angels?Evergreen Dazed: This is my little sister, Elizabeth and her friend Mark. This is a mellow, heartfelt album. Really nice to have going while you hang out at home. I’m not the only Bruce sister who sings and writes!

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna LaughKatie Terrio: I love the rock and roll spirit of this record. Adam Steinberg did a masterful job of capturing Katie’s raw sound. Very cool alternative/indie rock with a little 80s flair.

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna LaughJo Davidson: Melancholy rainy day at it’s very best. Very barebones production lets the beauty of the songs shine through and warm you to the core.

KYLER: How Many Angels?Karen Jacobsen: Power pop deluxe from down under. These songs sparkle and cheer you up from the first track.

KYLER: How Many Angels?Rachael Sage has done it again! This is her 6th albulm. How does she do it? One of the most prolific artists I know. Amazing piano playing and poetic, heartfelt beauty in each song.

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna Laugh Amy Fairchild is one of those rare artists who sounds as great live as she does in the studio. How does she do it? She rocks... that's all. Catch some new songs live with her amazing rockin' band.

KYLER: How Many Angels?Rachel Gaudry has a new CD, Bright Window and I'm hooked. In fact I'm listening right now. Sunny Wings kills me. Those chord changes... So sweet. Traces of Shawn Colvin and a beloved dose of the Beatles in this beautiful collection of songs.

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna Laugh As I added Aussie Rachel Gaudry's new CD I realized I somehow omitted her first! Good opportunity to pick up both albums. You won't be disappointed. Great piano player, songwriter and a voice like Outback honey... : )

KYLER: How Many Angels? The Weepies have stolen my heart! Steve Tannen and Deb Talan (two of my fave singer/songwriters) have joined forces to form a gorgeous musical duo. I loved hearing them live and really adore this CD!

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna LaughA new CD from Los Angeles based Brian Joseph. He combines humor and wit with killer songwriting. Reminds me of a more melodic Randy Newman. Smart lyrics, soulful tone, great guitar playing.

KYLER: How Many Angels?Kyler has a new CD out and it rocks! Her voice is heartbreakingly beautiful. Blue velvet as she sings the hell out of these pop/rock songs! She should be radio-active!

This is Edie Carey's 4th CD and I believe it shines as her best yet. She sets a great mood with tracks that conjur Shawn Colvin and Aimee Mann I enjoy listening to this record.

KYLER: How Many Angels?

Tina Shafer
knows how to sooth your soul with her beautifully crafted songs and sweet sweet voice. She has had cuts with Celine Dion and has been a vocal coach to many stars, but Tina still shines as an artist and a musician in her own right.

BRIAN JOSEPH: We're Gonna Laugh
If you're more in the mood for a music salad bar, you'll love this CD called Brooklyn Above Ground. 16 wonderful indie Brooklyn artists donated tracks to make this very hip CD and all profits benifit World Hunger Year! It's a win-win thing : )

RICHARD JULIAN: Good Life
Richard Julian
has long been a favorite artist of mine. This is his third album. Few artists can turn out lyrics like this man. Whether alone with his guitar or with a band, Richard is a pearl. Just came off tour w/Nora Jones. Check out his other albums too!

This is Edie Carey's 4th cd and I believe it shines as her best yet. She sets a great mood with tracks that conjur hints of Shawn Colvin and Aimee Mann I really enjoy listening to this record.

The Contes
seriously rock! These two brothers are amazing musicians and songwriters. You've heard their tunes on lots of TV shows. This cd is beautifully produced and puts most major label releases to shame.

My girl Rachael Sage has done it again! Her 5th album brings a little more pop to the table while maintaining her elegant sense of poetry and mood. She opens her heart and soul on these artfully produced tracks.

REBECCA MARTIN: Thoroughfare
Rebecca Martin
's most recent album continues in her tradition of writing soul-bearing smooth jazzy/pop songs. She used to be the other half of the duo Once Blue with Grammy winner Jesse Harris. If you like Norah Jones you'll love Rebecca.

Shane Fontayne's
first album is hardly the work of a beginner. He's been playing guitar with Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon and many others. Somehow he managed to become a brilliant singer/songwriter in the process. A little Elliot Smith with hint of Daniel Lanois.

PETE WEISE QUARTET: Masch Branch
Pete Weise
is brilliant jazz guitarist and composer living in the Dallas area. Not only does this guy have chops, but he puts a lot of heart into his playing. I highly recommend checking out this debut ep.

STEVE TANNEN: Big Senorita
Steve Tannen
's tune, "San Francisco" is an outstanding song. I can't listen to this without harmonizing! Steve and his brother Greg are really gifted songwriters and passionate performers.

To me, Justin Roth is a breath of fresh air. Beautiful melodies... He strums and picks effortlessly very much like Jonatha Brooke. I LOVE those alt tunings. Sounds a little like John Mayer and Duncan Shiek - only better! : )

The Animators
are a fun band from the West Coast. Quirky haunting pop tunes a little like Barenaked Ladies, but not as irritating. These boys are the kings of geek-chic! Really original production and arrangements...

REDTIME: Colouring In Time
Redtime
rocks! Some of the best musicians in NYC get together to make smart, funky, cool music. Ethan Eubanks is a bad-ass songwriter/rapper and an amazing drummer (he plays w/me). The photo cover is my bassist, Whynot's daughter! : )
JOSH DODES BAND: Get Up
If you like Ben Folds Five, you're gonna dig Josh Dodes and his band. This guy can play some serious piano and sings with great soul and skill. Maybe you caught him on VHI's bands on the run?...
INA MAY WOOL: Moon Over 97th Street
I recently met Ina May Wool at a Folk Alliance Conference. A breath of fresh air! I was mesmerized by her voice and guitar playing. I couldn't believe I had never heard her before. Reminds me a little of Carole King. Classic singer/songwriter here.

SYLVIA TOSUN: Anthem
At first I thought this was an odd idea for a cd. Different national anthems with world beats? Sylvia Tosun sings like an angel. I found myself playing tracks over and over just to get those goosebumps back. Really gorgeous!

TROY CAMPBELL: American Breakdown
I met Troy Campbell while touring in North Carolina - he lives in Austin. I immediately loved his sense of humor - very quirky. You hear it in his lyrics. His cd delivers americana at its best. Cool, sweet voice, hooky memorable songs.

GREG TANNEN: Coney Island
Greg Tannen
writes solid folk/rock songs. What can I say? Great voice, great songs... Great guy. If you have a chance to catch him live - especially with his brother, Steve - don't miss it!

CATHY BRAATEN: All In My Head
Cathy Braaten has so much soul it hurts. Her songs are deep and her voice sooths and pulls at your heart all at once... "Waterline" is a gorgeous tune I can't get out of my head. If you're ever in Chicago try to hear Cathy!

JO DAVIDSON: Merry Christmas and Happy New York
Jo Davidson
has made a Christmas cd! If you're looking for something a little different for the holidays - check this out. All piano instrumentals of traditional Xmas songs... Go Jo!
