11/06  Jenny a finalist in New York Songwriter Circle song contest!

I was a finalist in the New York Songwriter Circle song contest.  6th place out of over 4000 entries. I had to go sing "Soul On Fire" when Theo was only 2 1/2 weeks old.  It was so tough.  I am proud of myself for getting out there.  The competition was incredibly tough.  Everyone was so different and very talented. For once I can honestly say that it was an honor just to be included! : )

7/28/05 - "Home" on CBS - "Ghost Whisperer!"

"Desert I Call My Heart" wins Just Plain Folks Best Pop Song 2004 Award!

Out of 140,000 this song I wrote with Noel Cohen came in first place. Yay for us! They invited me to LA to perform for the Awards Ceremony, but I couldn't make it... I'm glad I chose this song to be on my upcoming CD.

6/8/04 Songwriters Hall Of Fame Compilation CD

Best of the Songwriters Hall of Fame: New Writers Showcase, Volume 2! My song Desert Heart is on this compilation CD which was handed out at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala dinner to be broadcast on Bravo on 7/18. I was able to attend the Gala and it was quite a night with performances by Stevie Wonder, Dione Warwick, Michael McDonald and so many others... Yay!

The Global Entertainment and Media Summit
I sat on my first Music Conference Panel this past month - The Global Entertainment and Media Summit here in NYC invited me to speak. I was talking about how to fund an independent album and find creative ways to earn a living as an indie singer/songwriter. I really enjoyed it!

5/17/04 Jennifer Marks new CD available in Stores nationwide now!!!

I am so excited to announce that I have co-written 3 songs on Pop/Rock artist Jennifer Marks' new CD now out in stores nationwide!!! This is the first time that another artist has recorded a song I've written (well, co-written) on a public release. The album is on Bardic Records (SONY distributed) and the single, "Live" (I didn't co-write that one : ) is doing great on HOT AC radio stations across the country. 3/10/04 To be featured on "Spotlight on Performing Songwriters"

While I was in San Diego at the Folk Alliance Music Conference I taped a show for this really cool cable TV series. It will be broadcast in different parts of the Midwest and South US on some major cable channels. Stay tuned for more info. I sang three songs - don't know which ones will air... I don't think I'm up on their site yet... but I will be : )

1/23/04 Fishman gives me the rare gift of a Rare Earth pick-up for my Martin guitar!!!

I love it. Thank you Fishman!!! It allows me much more versatility. I used to have a Sunrise pickup and it always sounded kind of thing. The Rare Earth allows you to blend a live mic and a, well I don't know what I'm talking about... Just click on their site and they'll explain!
